چکیده

UNLABELLED Antiplatelet agents are pivotal for prevention of coronary artery disease and cerebrovascular disease worldwide. Individual patient data meta-analysis indicates that low-dose aspirin causes a 10% risk reduction in pre-eclampsia for women at high individual risk. However, in the last 15 years it has emerged that a significant proportion of aspirin-treated individuals exhibit suboptimal platelet response, determined biochemically and clinically, termed 'aspirin non-responsiveness', 'aspirin resistance' and 'aspirin treatment failure'. More recently, investigation of aspirin responsiveness has begun in pregnant women. This review explores the history and clinical relevance of 'aspirin resistance' applied to high-risk obstetric populations. TWEETABLE ABSTRACT Is 'aspirin resistance' clinically relevant in high-risk obstetrics?

P-203: The Impact of Low-Dose Aspirin on Clinical Reproductive Outcomes in Frozen- Thawed Embryo Transfer Cycles; A Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Double- Blind Study

Background: The objective of this study is to evaluate whether low-dose aspirin affects doppler sonographic parameters of the uterine arteries, endometrial thickness and pregnancy rate of women undergoing frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles. Materials and Methods: This randomized, double- blind, placebo-controlled trial study was conducted between April 2012, and March 2013. A total of 60 elig...

SECONDARY PREVENTION OF UPPER GASTROINTESTINAL BLEEDING IN LOW DOSE ASPIRIN USERS INFECTED WITHHELICOBACTER PYLORI

ABSTRACT Background: Aspirin even at low dose ( 100 mg) can increase the risk of upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It is usual to use low dose aspirin for cardiovascular prophylaxis. We hypothesized that Helicobacter pylori eradication is as effective as omeprazole maintenance therapy for secondary prevention of bleeding in those who take low dose aspirin and are positive for Helicobacter pylor...

Effet of low-dose Aspirin on mortality of Acute myocardial Infarction

SUMMARY Between Aug. 1982 and March 1984, In a prospective, randomized trial approximately 24 hours after the onset of acute myocardial, infarction (MI), the influence of Low dose aspirin (120-150 mg/day, just during inhospital phase), on inhospital and post- hospital mortality rate was studied in 62 patients, and compared with control group. The two groups were comparable with regard to age,...

Efficacy of Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids, alone or in combination with low dose aspirin, in the improvement of uterine blood flow in women with history of recurrent miscarriage: A prospective, randomized, clinical trial.

Background & Objectives: Recurrent miscarriage (RM) occurs in some women. There is much evidence that increased uterine blood flow resistance (reduced uterine perfusion) increases the risk of RM. This study was aimed at evaluating the efficacy of Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids, alone or in combination with aspirin, in the reduction of uterine blood flow resistance in women with a history of RM. Metho...
